Shop France banned Muslim women to go shopping on weekdays

Grocery store in the French city of Bordeaux has banned Muslim women from shop to weekdays, and men this is not to go grocery shopping on the weekend. About it reports The Local.

As the newspaper notes, the outlet belongs to the neophytes (the Muslims who only recently began to practice Islam approx. "The tape.") and to such lengths they went to ensure that people of different sexes are not met in the store.

The decision of the owners of grocery displeased the city authorities. The mayor of Bordeaux Alain juppé (Alain Juppé) in his microblog on Twitter called to "put an end to this discrimination".

"For the first time something like this happens in Bordeaux. This is bad as it creates a wrong image of the Muslim community, which in 99 percent of cases complies with all French laws," said Deputy mayor mark Feta (Marik Fetouh), noting that discrimination cases can get up to five years in prison or a fine of 75 thousand euros.

As notes the edition, it is not clear what the law violate the owners of the store, through prohibition.

In many Muslim countries, particularly in Saudi Arabia, men and women are allowed to walk to stores, shopping centers, cafes and restaurants accompanied by family members of the other sex. While foreigners such rule does not apply.
