Mass student protests in support of Palestine continue in the United States. In Richmond, police broke up a spontaneous camp on the campus of Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU), using tear gas. Students who oppose cooperation between the United States and Israel have created a "Liberation Zone" on campus, erected barricades near the local library and made demands on university leaders. As a result, the police used force and dispersed the camp, and several students were detained.
