The return of the Russian delegation in PACE will be a historic mistake, – Paruby
 If European politicians dopastat the return of the Russian delegation to the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe, it would be a historic mistake. This was stated by the speaker of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Andriy paruby at the meeting of the Assembly Committee on culture, science, education and media in Kiev, which was broadcast channel “112 Ukraine”.
“The return of the Russian delegation in PACE will be a historic mistake, if it will admit the delegates, if it’ll allow the European countries. Therefore, I urge all of you who are particularly deeply understand the danger of this aggression, to become in this issue side by side with Ukraine and not to allow this action. I know that in the XXI century it violence, it tanks, it machines has no prospects. I know that in the twenty-first century, the civilized world has sufficient mechanisms to prevent the return of violence and aggression,” – said paruby. We will remind, in April 2014, the PACE has deprived the Russian delegation of voting rights due to the annexation of Crimea. In January 2015, the members of the parliamentary Assembly again endorsed the decision to deprive the Russian delegation’s voting rights, the right to participate in the work of the statutory bodies and in monitoring the elections. As a result, the Russian delegation left the Assembly. The President of the Assembly, Pedro Agramunt in his turn said that Russia and Ukraine should work together in the Assembly. Earlier it was reported that Andrey paruby said that there is no reason to return the Russian delegation to work full time in PACE. |
