Armenian team of Greco-Roman wrestling is preparing for European Championship. The head coach of the Armenian team Levon Julfalakyan informed about it during the interview with the correspondent of MAMUL.am news agency.

Julfalakyan said, ‘It is already the second training camp session this year. After the first camp session the team left for Bulgaria and Istanbul to take part in the international tournaments where we won medals: 4 golden, 2 silver and 2 bronze. Currently we are preparing for European Championship. This is one of the preparatory phases. Before European Championship we will conduct one more training camp session from February 25 till March 9 in the “Stake” Olympic training center in Minsk. The team members who will leave for Europe are already known’.

Now Bulgaria and Switzerland are conducting joint training camps sessions with Armenia. Julfalakyan says that it makes the training process more productive. According to the head coach, “This time the teams of Bulgaria and Switzerland are also taking part in training camps sessions with us. Many countries always ask us to conduct training camp session together. And we decided to choose those teams. The more we conduct sessions with different sportsmen the more productive and meaty the trainings will be”.

Recently Arsen Julfalakyan and Aram Julfalakyan have represented Armenia in the international tournament of Vehբi Emre and Hamit Kaplan in Istanbul. The head coach explains, “Arsen Julfalakyan has a lot of Turkish rivals. He needed to meet them so we decided that he would go to Turkey. He left with his brother not to be alone during the trainings. I would like to mention that Bulgaria’s tournament has displayed strongly every year but it has not been the same this year. But Istanbul’s tournament is always very strong and I decided that Arsen should take part in that strong competition. It was necessary for him to win in strong competition and he did it.”
