Help! Seagull’s nicked my fly phone

A HOLIDAYMAKER told how a seagull snatched his £500 iPhone before dropping it in the sea.

Darryl Gatland was taking a snap when the bird grabbed it and flew off.

He had been enjoying catching crabs at Polperro harbour, Cornwall, with wife Sarah, 40, and daughter Ellie, six.

But Darryl, 38, of Milton Keynes, said: “I won’t be going back. They are a nightmare.”

It is the latest in a spate of gull attacks this summer which has seen two pet dogs and a tortoise killed.

A GREEDY gull divebombs a teen as he runs along holding his chips in the air in the latest craze to hit Britain.

The youngster was snapped “gull running”, where kids try to run the furthest before a bird nabs their grub.

A pal in Whitby, North Yorks, said: “Gulls are a pain. They’ll try to nick your food anyway so we might as well have some fun while they’re doing it.”
