Aram Karapetyan: "Gagik Tsarukyan will not come back"

Recently rumors have been actively circulated that the Russian Federation senior officials criticized the retaliation of the leader of Prosperous Armenia Party Gagik Tsarukyan during their visit to Armenia. Moreover, talks have been circulating that the Russian side demanded from Serzh Sargsyan that Gagik Tsarukyan is returned to the position of the head of “Prosperous Armenia Party” or at least the RA President reviews its approaches towards Tsarukyan.

No matter what had the negotiators from Moscow spoken with the representatives of the Armenian government, the vast majority of Armenian politicians consider the return of Gagik Tsarukyan as unrealistic?

The leader of the “New Times” party Aram Karapetyan told the correspondent of MAMUL.am news agency some factors that prove the above mentioned: “First, the stepping back from the half of the work is not forgiven in Armenia. Second, there has been no major change in Armenia for his coming back, as, for example, the change of power. I do not think either that his political capabilities have been strengthened in this period. Third, ther has been a tendency recently that the oligarchs are driven out from politics, which means, that Gagik Tsarukyan will not come back”.

The leader of "People's Party" Tigran Karapetyan, who used to describe Gagik Tsarukyan as a real leader in the recent past, also commented on this theme, saying: “I do not believe that Tsarukyan will return. He has told that he does not want to be involved in politics any more. So, I think he will not come back”.
