Human Rights in the Armed Forces
     The Handbook on Human Rights and Fundamental Freedoms of Armed Forces Personnel of Geneva Centre for the Democratic Control of Armed Forces (DCAF) was translated into Armenian with the contribution of the OSCE Office in Yerevan.
A special course of 'Human Rights in the Armed Forces ' has been developed on the basis of this handbook and included in education programs of the ARM Armed Forces. Within the framework of an effective trilateral cooperation among ARM Defense Ministry, OSCE Office in Yerevan and the civil society lecture-discussions on human rights have been held during the months of November and December in all units of the Armed Forces, military educational institutions and the Military police as a preparatory stage of this course. Discussions are led by experts of the “Center for Democracy and Law” NGO with the financial support of the OSCE Office in Yerevan. A similar discussion was held in one of the military units in the Province of Tavush with participation of the OSCE Office in Yerevan representatives on December 8.
