“The French Team Clearly Got Deliberately Poisoned” – Lionel Messi Critic Drops a Bombshell During 2022 World Cup Finals
Piers Morgan continues to make headlines as he makes a serious allegation amid the FIFA World Cup 2022 final. During the final of the tournament, Morgan took to Twitter to claim that French players were deliberately “poisoned” ahead of the final match of the tournament against Argentina, led by Lionel Messi.
Fans may wonder why Piers Morgan is making such a claim. For fans who are unaware, a bunch of French players contracted a virus which left them unable to participate in the semi-final game against Morocco. Adrien Rabiot and Dayot Upamecano missed the crucial game for France. After that, reports also added that Raphael Varane, Kingsley Coman, and Ibrahima Konte also caught the virus.
Although all the players were available for the final, France had a very lackluster performance in the first 45 minutes of the game. Argentina, led by Lionel Messi, ran rampant in the first half and scored two goals. Messi scored the first goal of the match from a spot kick, while Angel Di Maria increased their lead just minutes later.
After such a brutal start to their game, the French players seemed absolutely distraught. It led to Piers Morgan claiming that French players were not sick because of a virus, they were poisoned! With this outlandish claim, Morgan taps into the fan theory that the World Cup is rigged.
Piers Morgan predicted Lionel Messi will lose in the World Cup final
Hence, nobody expected him to root for Lionel Messi in the world cup. He predicted that France would beat Argentina in the final and it would leave Messi in tears. However, Messi proved him wrong and had an amazing performance in the first half. He increased his goal tally for the world cup to 13, with 7 of them coming in this edition of the tournament itself.
