The Indian authorities refused Japan to land the aircraft of the Self-Defense Forces (SDF), which was supposed to deliver humanitarian aid to refugees from Ukraine. This was announced by the head of the ruling Liberal Democratic Party, Sanae Takaichi, at a political council, Nikkei Asia reports.

When stopping in India, the planes were supposed to load humanitarian supplies, including blankets, and deliver them to neighboring countries for Ukraine&mdash ; Poland and Romania. Help was requested by the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees.

The members of the political council reported that they agreed with India at the administrative level, but on April 20 they were refused, the Kyodo agency noted. The reason was the lack of coordination with the Indian authorities.
