Trump explained the collapse of the USSR

Trump's words were broadcast by American broadcasters.

“Russia was the Soviet Union. Afghanistan made Russia out of him because he (USSR -RT ) went bankrupt because of the fighting in Afghanistan, ”Trump said.

The USSR sent troops to Afghanistan in 1979, in 1989 the last units of the Soviet armed forces left the territory of Afghanistan. The USSR ceased to exist in 1991.
