At least 25 have been injured in the crash at Gungram of Dhaka-Tangail Highway around 10pm Tuesday.

The number of deaths was confirmed by Tangail Fire Service Assistant Director Monir Hossain.

Earlier, a local named ‘Badal’ told bdnews24.com he saw seven bodies. Among them five were men and two women.The Binimoy Paribahan was travelling from Dhaka to Dhanbari. It fell off track at Gungram area around 10pm, said Ghatail Police Station Inspector Amir Hossain.
     The injured have been admitted to Ghatail Upazila Health Complex and Tangail Sadar Hospital, he said.

The deceased have been identified as 'Shanta' of Dhaka, 25, 'Chandan' of Gopalpur, 25, Makullar Asma, 40, Rahim of Jamalpur, 40, Ranjan Ahmed of Sarishabari, Moniruzzaman Sobuz of Mohonpur, 35 and Noore Alam, 30, of Sonargaon’s Andharmanik.

Moniruzzaman Sobuz was a teacher of the Jagannath University.
