Saudi Arabia is ready to send troops to Syria

Saudi Arabia is ready to support the US in fight against terrorist organization "Islamic state" in Syria, sending special forces. This was stated by Minister of foreign Affairs Adel al-Jubeir, in an interview with German newspaper Süddeutsche Zeitung.
     "The Kingdom and other Gulf countries said it was ready to allocate forces to fight on the US side (in Syria – ed.)", - said the Minister. According to him, there are consultations with the Americans to "find out what the plan is, and what you need to implement it".
     Al-Jubeir also made it clear that the territory liberated from ISIS in Syria must come under the control of the Syrian rebels. "The main idea is that to liberate the region from the IG and not to allow their controlled Hezbollah, Iran or the Syrian regime," he said.
     The foreign Minister expressed the position of Saudi Arabia, according to which Syria's President Bashar al-Assad must step down. According to him, the purpose of the opening 23 of the February talks in Geneva to organize the political transition to the establishment of a "new Syria without Assad". If such a transition does not work, "I can't imagine how to end this war," said Adel al-Jubeir.
