In the north of Finland, Sweden and Norway on Monday, March 4, large-scale military exercises of NATO countries called Nordic Response 24 begin, they will last until March 15. The exercises are conducted under the leadership of Norway. This is reported by the Finnish edition of Yle.
The media notes that for Finland this is the most important participation in international exercises abroad in the history of the Defense Forces, as well as the first time that Finland participates in joint defense exercises of NATO countries as a member of the defense union.
Nordic Response is a large-scale military exercise on land, sea and in the air. About 20,000 military personnel from 14 countries will participate in them. Finland will be represented by about 4,100 military personnel.
