Armenia and Azerbaijan have spent about 700 million a year to purchase weapons

Stockholm International Peace Research Institute (SIPRI) has published a new report about the global arm trade condition of 2013-2017 years on Monday.
     According to the published report by the volume of arms import Armenia in 2016-2017 occupies the 54th place in the world.
     It is mentioned that during 2 years Armenia has imported $124 million armament. And 100% of supplies were imported to Armenia from Russia.
     "During the period of 2016-2017 Armenia has imported 6 point "Smerch" volley fire jet system, 200 point "Verba" portable anti-aircraft missile systems and "Kornet" 9M133 anti-missile system", said in the report.
     In SIPRI report Azerbaijan occupies the 27th place. During 2 years Azerbaijan has bought about $551 million weapons from Israel and Russia.
     According to the report in weapons export market the leaders are USA and Russia. The volume of sales of American weapons in the whole world is 34%, and Russia - 22%.
     According to the report of SIPRI Azerbaijan has bought 20 times more weapons than Armenia during 2012-2016.
