Is this Britain's first Pokemon Go murder? Man dies in girlfriend's arms after being 'beaten over mobile game'

A young man was allegedly beaten to death at a shopping centre in what is feared to be Britain's first Pokemon Go 'murder'.

Carl Gregory, 20, died in his girlfriend Chloe Lemare's arms near Smyth’s Toy Store in The Link centre in Broadstairs, Kent, on Tuesday night.

He was tragically declared dead by paramedics at the scene, and two men, aged 20 and 27, have since been arrested on suspicion of murder.

Yesterday, Chloe's mum, Shanice, suggested Carl may have been hunting Pokemon in the centre's car park when he was allegedly killed.

She wrote on Facebook: "F****** Pokemon. He was killed for nothing... we are totally devastated... we can't believe we will never see him again."
