CIA sacks puppy as she ‘wasn’t interested in’ her explosive detection training

A little black labrador was dropped from CIA’s explosive detection program because she ‘wasn’t enjoying’ her training. Lulu, a one-and-half-year-old pup, was apparently ‘acting lazy, guessing where odours were and showing a general disregard’ in her training with the Fairfax County Police Department in Virginia, US, this week.

     So the force ‘fired’ the smallest puppy in its class, a call it described as ‘difficult’ but ‘the best for Lulu’. It said in a series of tweets on Wednesday: ‘Our trainers’ top concern is physical & mental well-being of K9s.

     ‘Lulu wasn’t interested in searching for explosives. Even when motivated w food & play, she was clearly no longer enjoying herself. ‘They made difficult decision & did what’s best for Lulu: stop her training.’
