After the fairytale ending comes reality: From breastfeeding Belle and stay-at-home Cinderella, to Ariel getting baby food thrown in her face... artist re-imagines Disney princesses as new mums

Disney princesses are coming over all mumsy, thanks to these creative illustrations by Boston artist and 'Disney mash-up guy' Isaiah Keith Stephens.
Belle, Aurora, Ariel, Cinderella and more have been reincarnated as mothers in the cartoon pictures, as they have been made to look like they are either pregnant, giving birth, breastfeeding or feeding a new baby.
The tongue-in-cheek pictures first featured on Cosmpolitan earlier this month, in celebration of Mother's Day.

'Happy Mother's Day!,' Mr Stephens writes on each post shared on Instagram.
'My friends over at @cosmopolitan asked me to illustrate a set of Disney princesses (and one queen) as moms [sic] and moms to be! Here's what I came up with!'.
The snaps are equally clever and entertaining.

In one, Rapunzel is changing her little baby on the table, while her husband stands behind her wearing a gas mask to protect himself from the smell.

In another, Ariel gets pelted with some food by her baby from his highchair.

Other highlights include Aladdin and Jasmine's delight at expecting a baby, Belle from Beauty and the Beast breastfeeding, as well as Aurora pictured while she is in labour.

The accompanying posts are similarly witty:
'Here's Aurora! I'll bet she wishes that sleeping curse was still activated right about now!,' Mr Stephens writes as Sleeping Beauty gives birth.
'Here's Cinderella! If the shoe fits! Right?' reads another, as Cinderella's child tries on her glass slippers.

In the past, Mr Stephens has re-imagined all sorts of iconic people as Disney characters.
Most recently, he had Pocahontas, Ariel and co mimick selfie Queen Kim Kardashian, in a series of images released when Kim brought out her book of self portraits, Selfish.
Mr Stephen's artistic touch has seen him build up a loyal following on social media - at present, he has 30,000 followers on Instagram.
What will he come up with next?
