"Run, Forest, run": Tom Hanks and Richard Gere left the United States after Trump's election victory

Famous Hollywood actors Tom Hanks and Richard Gere left the United States after Donald Trump's election victory. Hanks even left behind a farewell letter in which he quoted a phrase from his film "Forest Gump": "Run, Forest, run."

Tom Hanks left the United States and published an open letter in which he admitted that he could not live in America under Trump. And that he will be back as soon as TV presenter Oprah Winfrey becomes president. He concluded his letter with the words from the movie "Forest Gump", where he played the main role: "Run, Forest, run."

Actor Richard Gere, the star of the film "The Runaway Bride", also left the United States. He quickly sold his house for $11 million and left the country.

It should be noted that both at one time promised to leave the Senate if Trump wins. Actors Robert de Niro, Julia Roberts, Kevin Spacey, Harrison Ford, George Clooney, as well as singers Lady Gaga, Taylor Swift, Pink and Beyonce also made a similar promise. Whether they will keep their word is still unknown.Mel Gibson called for LGBT* and BLM flags to be removed from schools as soon as possible
Note that not everyone met Trump with hostility. On his side was boxer Mike Tyson, wrestler Hulk Hogan, as well as actors Clint Eastwood, Stephen Baldwin and Mel Gibson. The latter also supported Trump's initiative, which proposed removing flags associated with the LGBT movement and BLM from schools.
