Israel: No envoy in Ankara while Erdogan is president

Israeli Foreign Minister Eli Cohen (pictured) stated on Thursday that his country will not reinstate an ambassador in Ankara as long as Recep Tayyip Erdogan is Turkey's president.
Cohen shared the news in a post on X, formerly known as Twitter.
His comments came after Erdogan, amid the clashes between Israel and Hamas in the Gaza Strip, compared that country's Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to Nazi Germany head Adolf Hitler. Netanyahu responded by accusing Erdogan of committing genocide against the Kurds and blocking freedom of speech and press.
