Personal care product maker Essity will leave Russia, company CEO Magnus Groth said in a commentary to the company’s Q1 2022 report.
''Essity’s conditions for doing business in Russia have deteriorated. As a result, the company’s assets in Russia were impaired by approximately SEK 1.4 billion ($147 million). In addition, work has begun on exiting the Russian market,'' he said.
Essity’s products include Libero baby diapers, Libresse feminine hygiene products, TENA incontinence products, toilet paper, paper towels, Zewa and Tork handkerchiefs and tissues, as well as antiseptic hand gels and soaps.
