US Congress overwhelmingly decides against Russia's participation in G7 summit

The US Congress's Foreign Affairs Committee on Thursday adopted a resolution against Russia's participation in next year's "Big Seven" summit in Florida until it respects the territorial integrity of its neighbors and adheres to the standards of democratic societies, according to a statement posted on a congressional decision maker. "The Foreign Affairs Committee of the US Congress today adopted a unanimous bipartisan resolution," the statement said. "Condemns the inclusion of Russia's participation in the upcoming G7 summit until it respects the territorial integrity of its neighbors and adheres to the standards of democratic societies."
     Earlier, White House Acting President Mick Mulvani said that US President Donald Trump may invite Russian President Vladimir Putin to attend the G7 summit next year in Florida.
