Mark Zuckerberg orders Facebook employees to give up iPhone and use Android

A vast majority of the Facebook staffers don't use Apple iPhones running on iOS. Instead they now use Android smartphones. It's not that there is something wrong with the iPhones or that they don't like the device, it's simply because they have been ordered not to use the Apple phone. And the order apparently came directly from the top.

Cook, in an MSNBC interview, subtly criticised Facebook over data privacy, "We're not going to traffic in your personal life," Cook said in the interview adding, "Privacy to us is a human right. It's a civil liberty." Then again, when Recode's Kara Swisher asked Cook what would he do if he was Mark Zuckerberg, Cook replied, "I wouldn't be in this situation."

According to a report by the New York Times that gives a detailed account of what went inside Facebook following the Russian interference and the company's subsequent handling of the Cambridge Analytica controversy, Cook's comments angered Zuckerberg. He later ordered his management to only use Android phones, arguing that the mobile operating system had a wider user base compared with Apple's.
