The Pentagon declined to give the value of deliveries of Russian weapons to the Philippines

During the flight, the American Minister of defence in Thailand by one of the journalists asked him to comment on the supply of weapons from Russia and China to the Philippines. The Pentagon chief said in response that this issue does not matter.
     “I know that some trucks were passed in order to help the country in combating terrorists. I do not attach much importance. This is a sovereign decision of the Philippines”, he said.
     Transfer party of the Russian small arms and army trucks for the Philippines was held yesterday. At the ceremony, which took place on Board the ship “Admiral Panteleyev”, was attended by the President of the Philippines Rodrigo duterte and the Minister of defence of Russia Sergey Shoigu.
     The weapons were provided by the Philippine army to support its efforts in the fight against “Islamic state”.
