Buckingham Palace in ‘CHAOS’: Queen’s staff ‘QUIT’ and leave Royals in limbo

The Queen’s kitchen staff have reportedly quit over heavy demands placed on them and left Her Maj in limbo. At least 14 chefs and porters have reportedly left after complaining about a lack of time off, according to The Sun.

They were said to have been frustrated at having to work at several Royal residences without extra pay.A Royal source told the Sun: “The place is in turmoil and the mood is getting steadily worse.

“People work all hours God sends for no extra pay.

"Nobody gets any time off or sees their families. It’s too much.

“They’ve concluded it’s not worth it any more.

“At least seven chefs have quit, plus other members of staff. Some are very experienced and won’t be easy to replace.”It's believed the kitchen staff are angry at having to cater for various members of the Royal family at various residences without being given any notice.

The source continued: “Because the Queen now lives at Windsor Castle most of the time, chefs often have to go there, then back to Buckingham Palace for functions.

"Prince Charles uses the staff to throw events. Chefs are also asked to help out at Kensington Palace for William, Kate and Harry, plus dinners at St James’s Palace.”Despite the claims, a Palace spokeswoman denied a mass walkout.

She said average service length was nearly seven years and added: “There’s been no change to the usual turnover of Royal kitchen staff.”

Daily Star Online has approached Buckingham Palace for further comment.
