The U.S. air force dropped on Nevada two nuclear bombs B61-12

In the U.S. state of Nevada passed qualification tests heavy bombs of the B61-12 specialists from the National nuclear security administration energy U.S. Department jointly with the air forces of the country. It is reported, citing a Ministry statement.

According to reports, the tests took place on August 8, but became aware of them only now.

It is reported that during the tests the aircraft F-15E were dropped two bombs without warheads — so the US military has conducted an assessment of non-nuclear capabilities of the projectiles and abilities of the aircraft on their delivery.

The first such test in the US took place in March of this year. It marked the beginning of qualification tests that will be carried out in the United States over the next three years.

The B61-12 in the American nuclear Arsenal replaces four shells B61.
