Welcome to the Japanese temple, dedicated exclusively to the female breast. Located at the foot of Mount Koya-san in a small settlement Kudo Yama temple Dixon-in – probably one of a unique Buddhist temples in Japan.
Outside the temple is no different from any other. But as soon as you enter, interior decoration remind of the fact that you are in a truly special place. Inside you can find thousands of wooden plates with breasts made of foam rubber and cloth, plastic or paint.
Initially, the temple Edison-in was built as the entrance to the sacred mountain of Koyasan. But one day the doctor came here with a special prayer for one of his patients suffering from breast cancer, and changes began in the temple. The doctor asked permission to bring an offering to the temple in the form of a breast. The ministers agreed, and a new tradition was born soon.
