     No “Russian bear” was in sight as US President Barack Obama savored Bavaria’s finest beer and sausages accompanied by host Angela Merkel on Sunday. Yet the “Greek issue” did later crop up in the otherwise sunny surroundings.
     The White House quoted Obama as saying he is hopeful Greece and its partners will be able to chart this course without causing volatility in financial markets.
     Greeted by alpine horns and men in traditional lederhosen attire, Obama arrived in the village of Krün on his way to a G7 summit in nearby Schloss Elmau. The beer-fueled breakfast with the German Chancellor came with weisswurst and home-made pretzels – all enjoyed by the specially trained Secret Service men before being served to the Commander and Chief.
