Journalist dragged out of Trump-Putin press conference by secret service moments before world leaders start speaking

The reporter, believed to be Sam Husseini, was escorted from the room moments before the two leders entered to begin their press conference.

They set upon him when stood up in the meeting room and held up a sign saying: "Nuclear weapons ban treaty."

The individual, seated with the American press corps in Helsinki, identified himself as a reporter from the liberal magazine, The Nation.

Husseini, the communications director of the US Institute for Public Accuracy, reportedly hoped he could get the leaders' attention to ask them about nuclear weapons.

He complied when security guards asked him to leave the room earlier but soon returned carrying the hand-written sign, according to CNN's Jim Acosta.
