US sanctions caused the defense sector of Russia more than 3 billion dollars of losses
Thanks to the new anti-Russian sanctions in the framework of the law On counteraction to opponents of the United States through sanctions (CAATSA) Russia has lost contracts with a number of foreign countries amounting to more than $ 3 billion, said the official U.S. state Department spokesman Heather Nauert.
“Some countries have stopped buying certain products and goods. We believe that we can stop the transaction at more than $ 3 billion. The termination of such transactions, in fact, is a punishment. Why? Because it means that less money goes into the Russian budget. Thus, it can be considered a success in terms of bringing Russia to justice,” said Neuert.
According to her, the United States also warned countries around the world on the law on the extension of anti-Russian sanctions (CAATSA) and warned against signing contracts with the Russian enterprises of the military-industrial complex. Nauert added that the United States would impose sanctions against countries, persons and organizations that will conduct transactions that are contrary to CAATSA. As you know, in January this year, President Donald trump has signed the law “On countering the enemies of America by sanctions” providing for the imposition of restrictive measures against companies and individuals engaged in trade enterprises of the Russian military-industrial complex.
