"There is no obvious progress". Ervand Varosyan talks that lawyers must be fined

Today the National Assembly completely adopted the Civil Procedure Code of the Republic of Armenia and attached laws of the packaged project. It is prescribed to fine to the lawyers until 100 thousand AMD during court sessions.

The deputy of faction "Elq" Artak Zeylanyan said that the institution of lawyers contradicts the principles of fair trial.

He addressed to the layer’s charm to apply European Court before adopting it.

“This proceeding obviously does not have progress. We must struggle against it by all legal means. We should address to the Constitutional Court and in the case of application, appeal and consume all judicial instances address to the ECHR",- Ervand Varosyan said to Mamul.am reporter about further steps and added.

"Surely I am convinced that we must activate and regulate the only monopoly of eliminating steps and maintain the Chamber of Advocates. This building is only beneficial for the support of lawyer’s rights".

Yesterday lawyers announced and presented their anxious issues. They said that, judicial fines could threaten lawyer’s independence. Stipulated judicial fines are presume. They think that lawyers, prosecutors behave improperly.
     They said that they did not take into account that improperly behavior works overwhelming tool for professional freedom.
     Later, lawyers address and said that, amends, supplements in Judicial Code allow to fine to the lawyers until 100 thousand AMD by prosecutor. It is prescribed that this law will impose sanctions, which will make more vulnerable defense side.
