Three Israelis Killed in Terrorist Attack in West Bank Settlement

A Border Police officer and two Israeli security guards were killed in a shooting attack in the West Bank settlement of Har Adar, near Jerusalem, on Tuesday morning. The 37-year-old Palestinian attacker was shot dead. Another Israeli, the security coordinator of Har Adar, sustained serious injuries.
An initial investigation indicates that the terrorist arrived with group of Palestinian workers at the back entrance to the settlement. Border Police officers who suspected the man asked him to stop, at which point he pulled out a gun from under his shirt and opened fire. Security personnel shot back, killing the attacker.
The Israeli security services have claimed that Palestinian labor in Israel and in the settlements helps ease tensions.
Israeli President Reuven Rivlin said that "in these difficult hours, our hearts are with families of the killed. The cruel terror attack proves once again the daily front that our security forces face in the most important mission — protecting and defending the safety of the citizens of Israel."
