Wayne Rooney’s move to China could be granted before next week’s CSL transfer window closes after falling further down the Manchester United pecking order.

The England captain, now 31, has an eye-watering three-year deal on the table which would see him earn close to £140million.

United boss Jose Mourinho declared at the end of January that Rooney would remain at Old Trafford until the end of the season.
